Mycobacterium bovis (M. bovis) is a mycobacterium that can cause tuberculosis disease in human. M. bovis is most commonly found in cattle and other animals such as bison, elk, and deer. In human, M. bovis causes TB disease that can affect the lungs, lymph nodes, and other parts of the body.
The Mycobacterium bovis Real-time qPCR Kit uses fluorescence probe PCR (RT-PCR) method to detect M. bovis qualitatively or semi-quantitatively, which is rapid and accurate, especially helpful for diagnosis, monitoring and epidemiological investigation of M. bovis.
