Tylosin is an antibiotic and a bacteriostatic feed additive used in veterinary medicine. It has a broad spectrum of activity against Gram-positive organisms and a limited range of Gram-negative organisms. It is found naturally as a fermentation product of Streptomyces fradiae. Like tylosin, tilmicosin is also a macrolide antibiotic. It is used in veterinary medicine for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease and enzootic pneumonia caused by Mannheimia haemolytica in sheep.
The current European Maximum Residue Limit for tylosin and tilmicosiin are set at 50ug/kg in bovine milk according to EU Council Regulation EEC No.2377/90.
This product is a mouse monoclonal antibody against marolides drugs tylosin and tilmicosin, which can be used in immunoassay for the detection of tylosin and tilmicosin in various biological samples.
ELISA, lateral flow immunoassay and other immunoassays.
