African swine fever is a highly contagious and deadly viral disease affecting both domestic and wild pigs of all ages. ASFV is not a threat to human health and cannot be transmitted from pigs to humans. It is not a food safety issue. As a key to ASFV eradication program, antibody or antigen testing shows great significance and importance in the very beginning and in the whole process. To detect the antibody or antigen in swine serum and plasma samples, high sensitivity, reproducibility and stability are required.

African swine fever (ASF) is a severe viral disease affecting domestic and wild pigs;More recently (since 2007) the disease has been reported in multiple countries across Africa, Asia and Europe, in both domestic and wild pigs. In 2018 and 2019, ASFV is spreading quickly to Asia, Southeast Asia. In countries like China, Vietnam, etc now ASFV are becoming big threat to local animal farming.

This ASFV antibody ELISA kit is based on immunoassay to detect antibody of ASFV in swine serum / plasma. which only takes 70min to get a visible result, which is quite suitable for lab test and field test.

Performance

This kit is 100% specific to ASF antibody and does not cross react with other swine virus.

The sensitivity is 95% compared with RT-PCR.

Delivery

This kit is delivered under ROOM temperature with no ice pack. Storage shall be at 2-8 degree celcius.

Limitations

Positive samples need to be further confirmed with RT-PCR for final decision.
